For five solid minutes, Adam Fitzgibbon kept kicking his victim in the head even after the 16-year-old had lost consciousness. He administered 65 kicks to the head during that time, two stamps and 26 punches, which averages out at one every 6 seconds.

Fitzgibbon was being transported by two female social workers when he spotted his victim, a sixteen-year-old kid, sitting at the window of a filling station. They let him out of the car, he nearly killed his victim and they did absolutely nothing about it. Luckily, an off-duty prison officer happened on the scene, wrestled the violent piece of shit to the ground and prevented a killing.
What did the social workers do about the attack? Nothing.
Surely the victim has a claim against the HSE for negligence, considering the fact that these two fools exposed him to danger, including brain damage. The chances are that Adam Fitzgibbon, the piece of shit who brain-damaged the boy, will get better treatment in jail than the victim gets in real life.
Question. Did Adam Fitzgibbon’s family have to save and pay for the house they got in Lissanalta,Dooradoyle or did they get it for nothing? Just asking. Maybe so, maybe not.

One punch is enough for anyone to step in, Let alone Social workers, who had the duty to care and transport this violent piece o shit to his ”safe-haven” or wherever he was headed too.
To let him out of the car, When they clearly knew he was an aggressive scumbag, is beyond me. It was their duty to make sure the scum got to his destination in one piece yet they stood there and watched while he kicked the head off this poor innocent chap.

Two families have been left devestated by this terrible event. I understand the anger felt but I’ve heard he was so high on drugs that he doesn’t even remember doing it. I can assure you that he comes from a loving family. The comment about where he lives is ridiculous, the house is paid for by 2 very hard working people

What ever about everyone here condeming what he did, who are ye to blame the family! You cannot monitor a teenager every minute of the day, and friends of theirs come to your door all sunshine and light , like butter wouldn’t melt in their mouth, but yet when they walk out the door they can be completly different! its your duty as a parent to know were and when ur kids are at all times simple as. if you cant care for them then have a responsible adult who can ahhhhh well thats the way it goes in my house anyway and thats why i havent had a once of bother with them falling into the wrong crowd and the main word here would be RESPECT… so his parents have to share some of the blame for his up bringing and they way he treats others and himself and the HSE has to share some of the blame aswell if they kept him in there care it wouldnt have happened to a innocent kid.

adam fitzgibbon was put into care by his parents because he was out of control on drugs his family did the best they could and also tryed to remorgage to come up with E17,500 to get him to ashling house killkenny,also his mum and stepdad were paying of drug dealers,its very easy for people to judge but trust me his parents never sat back for a min and had to do something they trusted the hse to help they failed,on the night in question his mum notified edenvilla of the current state of her son and had to get her brother to go to laurel hill school as she was unable to get to him he was off his head and offered no medical attention,his mother rang the unit on 6 occassions that evening and was not taken seriously,and trust me both parents work very hard and own the house they live in….
just to say he was only put in care 6 months beforehand because his parents took every possable step to help him,he was not know to the gaurds,i know it broke his parents heart to go down that root,all the stress caused his mum to have 2 heart opearations and she never gave up hope of getting him help,let me tell ye a lot more to come out and when ye hear the truth i think ye wont be so judgementle trust me i know…..
